Dan Pollack launched his firm in 2013 with one primary objective: help creators and start-ups share their work with the world. With more than a decade of experience at leading law firms in the United States and Canada and through in-house counsel roles in the media industry, including as General Counsel for an international image licensing agency, Dan offers his clients “big firm” skills without big firm rates. This experience provides Dan with a deep understanding of the myriad legal issues that confront creative entrepreneurs.
Dan Pollack Law primarily focuses on intellectual property, new media and entertainment law. Dan often works with creators such as photographers, filmmakers, musicians and writers to help them protect and gain value from their work. In particular, he has extensive experience working with photographers (and their representatives) and stock image agencies with issues relating to copyright infringement and protection, licensing, contracts and releases. Dan also regularly advises his clients on legal issues relating to marketing, licensing, social media, litigation, privacy and corporate law. He often speaks at events and seminars about important legal issues for photographers and other creators.
